The woman, named Sandhya Rani, is an Armed Reserve police constable. She last year married P Charan Teja, who is a resident of Hayathabad in Shadab, Telangana. The husband came to know that she had been married twice before. Allegedly, one of the ex-husbands had committed suicide due to her harassment.
As per Teja, he was intimidated into marrying her at Kukatpally's Arya Samaj last year. The complainant said that she threatened him with police complaints if he didn't marry her. They had taken selfies previously. The wife had a daughter from a previous marriage, as per Teja.
The police have launched an investigation. The woman constable will be duly questioned over the allegations.
