Compared to actresses' beauty, wife commits suicide

As harassers go, Naveen Kumar is an atypically inhuman husband. He would watch movies/TV, find this or that actress so beautiful, and would literally demean his wife Veena (25) for not being as beautiful as cine stars. This incident has come to light in Hyderabad's Sherlingampally.
Unable to live with the humiliation, a depressed Veena had once gone to live with her parents. Two months later, the parents took their daughter to her husband and urged him to mend his ways.
The harassment continued in the same vein. Naveen Kumar's shenanigans finally drove Veena to take an extreme step. She attempted suicide by using kerosene and lit herself on June 22. Veena's neighbours rushed her to Gandhi Hospital. After battling for life for four days, the poor lady succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
Police have filed a complaint against the brutal husband.
