Adah Sharma, most familiar to Telugu audiences as the actress of 'Heart Attack' and 'Kshanam', is set to glam it up as an encounter inspector in 'Commando-2', the March 3 release. In this exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, Adah talks about her role, why she thinks Vidyut Jammwal is a Greek God, why she hasn't accepted any and every offer after 'Kshanam', and more.

Your name Adah is derived from Urdu language and your surname is Sanskritic. Whose idea was it to go for a cross-cultural name?

Adah means style, grace, poise. I actually feel like I am from all of India. My mom is from Kerala, my dad is half-Keralite, my mom is half-Anglo, his (father's) mom is half-Kashmiri. So, I have all of India in my culture.

You are playing a Telugu girl from Vizag in 'Commando 2'. Is there any reason why you are a Telugu girl in the movie?

They thought of going for either a Bengali, Haryanvi, or Telugu girl. They froze on a Telugu character because no one in Bollywood has played one. I am excited to see how the Hindi audiences are going to receive it. The feedback I have got from Hyderabad has been huge. They have liked my accent and are connecting to the character. I speak Hindi the way a Telugu girl speaks. We even had an accent trainer on board.

You have said that you are doing cooler action in the movie. Tell us about that.

Mine is a bit of a larger than life character. They have sort of commercialized it. The introduction scene is like the one Telugu heroes have in an introduction scene, where the hero walks in style, wearing glasses, and takes out his gun and shoots. It's a glamorous intro scene in a police outfit. My dialogue goes like 'Myself Reddy, Bhavana Reddy, Encounter inspector Bhavana Reddy'. (Smiles).

She is corrupt. As the trailer shows, she kills a man for a gucci bag. She is a character people are expected to fall in love with, and they hopefully will. It's quite a task to make the audience fall in love with such a character.

In films like 'Heart Attack', you have played glamorous roles. Bhavana Reddy, on the other hand, seems to be a layered character. How has the changeover been?

I think in 'Heart Attack' too, it was a layered character that I played. It was one of the first out and out romantic films that I did. Cinema is a visual medium and looking glamorous is important. I am supposed to look nice on screen. Even in 'Kshanam', in the portions set in college, I was supposed to look stylish. It's nice to look nice when you can.

I don't think the audiences think about the genre when they are watching a movie. In the first 15 minutes itself, you decide whether you are connecting with the character or not.

You have described your co-star Vidyut Jammwal as a Greek God. Is he the most handsome person you have ever met in life?

He is a Greek God-like. Look at him. He is perfect-looking, has perfect features, sports 12 packs and does does action like a dream. I have met many handsome people. India should be proud of its good-looking actors. Even Hollywood has them, but our actors are multi-talented. Can you think of a Leonardo Dicaprio breaking into a Pawan Kalyan song? I can't think of that. It's very sexy our actors can do songs in wooing their ladies, as well as realistic films, etc.

You are a fitness freak. Who is your inspiration?

I do work out regularly. I enjoy doing a different sort of workout, dance, etc. I have doing doing it.

My mother has been into gymnastics, etc. Since I was 3 years old, I have been doing exercises. When you see someone at home doing all of this, you get inspired. When I watch someone doing dancing, I also feel like to do it.

You must have been flooded with offers after 'Kshanam'. Why are you not seen in Tollywood?

After 'Kshanam', I wanted to come back with something even more fabulous. 'Kshanam' was a one-of-its-kind movie. The audience loved it. I was so touched. My next Telugu film will be 'Commando 2', which is the best I can offer the audience.
