Veteran comedian Senthil joins BJP and gives reason

Veteran comedy actor Senthil who is best known for his onscreen collaboration with the comic legend Gowndamani today joined the BJP party in the presence of its TN leader L Murugan.  Politics is not new to the actor as he has been associated with the ADMK for several decades and served as a star speaker and campaigner under the Jayalalitha regime.

Senthil after becoming a BJP member told pressmen that after Jayalalitha’s demise he felt like an orphan and did not know what to do.  However, according to him the BJP is the only party that does good for the people and is the only one that is likely to grow in the state as well.

Senthil also added that many more celebrities will be joining the BJP and a corruption-free government will soon be formed.  Regarding the question of whether he would campaign for the ADMK under whose alliance the BJP is contesting, the comedian said that the high command will decide that.
