Senthil one of the legendary comedians of Tamil cinema is especially known for his combo with the inimitable comedy superstar Goundamani. He has starred in a number of films with many leading actors including Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Karthik, Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, Suriya and others. He is still active and is doing films with today's generation of actors.

Senthil married Kalai Selvi in 1984 and has two sons Manikandan Prabhu and Hemachandra Prabhu. He also has grandchildren. The veteran actor recently visited the Thirukkadaiyur Abhirami temple in Mayiladuthurai district along with his entire family.

The tradional Bhima Ratha Shanti pooja was conducted on Senthil and his wife Kalaiselvi by the family on the occassion of him crossing age 70. His wife, sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren are in the photograph taken at that time which are now going viral.

On the professional front Senthil is playing an important character in Aishwarya Rajinikanth's 'Lal Salaam' starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Vikranth, Vishnu Vishal and Jeevitha . Apart from that, it is also said that the sequel to the blockbuster hit movie 'Karakattakaran ' is going to be made soon and Senthil wil reprise his role after 35 years.
