Veteran Tamil comedy actor’s son posted as sub-collector

Veteran comedy actor Chinni Jayanth was one of the few who shined in the Goundamani-Senthil era and won fans for his brand of comedy.  He has starred in a number of films with all the bigwigs of Tamil cinema including Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, Karthik, Prashanth, Vijay, and Ajith.

Chinni Jayanth’s son Sruthan Jai Narayanan did his IAS in 2020 and got the 75th all India rank.  He had mentioned that he would strive for the betterment of education, livelihood and women empowerment.

Sruthan has now got the posting of sub-collector in the Tuticorin district and has assumed office there.  Kollywood celebrities and fans have posted congratulatory messages to the proud dad. Chinni Jayanth’s upcoming film is ‘Yaadhum Oore Yavarum Kelir’ starring Vijay Sethupathi, Megha Akash, Mohan Raja, Magizh Thirumeni and Riythvika.
