Famous comedian quarantined after prisoner in police custody tests COVID 19 positive

On May 22 a person was stopped by police for drunken driving and the man alongwith his two friends in an inebriated condition attacked two police officers with his car and was arrested and put in jail. The incident happened in Kerala and to the utmost shock of the cops the person arrested tested positive for COVID 19.
Actor Suraj Venjaramoodu also has been quarantined after attending a program at the Venjaramoodu police station where the remand prisoner who tested positive for COVID-19 was housed. As a chain reaction along with Suraj, Vamanapuram MLA D K Murali had also attended an agriculture-related program along with police officers on May 23.
Though all of them had maintained social distancing at the event, Suraj, his brother and MLA D K Murali were quarantined as part of precautionary measures. A few of the police officers are also now under quarantine.
The accused, have been quarantined in a special sub-jail. It is not yet found how the patient contracted the disease.
