Comedian Kottachi Opens Up About Grievances with Vadivelu

Comedian Vadivelu’s counterpart actors recently raised serious doubts about some actions regarding him; amongst them being Actor Kottachi who makes claims against him with conviction. Meanwhile, Director Mari Selvaraj clears misconceptions surrounding his role in their soon to be released film but does very little to satisfy Kottachis’ grievances towards Vadivelu. Kottachi is a well established actor known for having a unique comedic style which he showcased during his debut performance in Naal Natchathiram. He also acted alongside actors like Superstar Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Vijay, Ajith, Vadivelu and the late Comedian Vivek. Despite his strong body of work, he claims that he has been overlooked for several recent opportunities due to rising stardoms like his daughter Manasvi Kottachi in child star roles.

Kottachi claims that Vadivelu purposely stunted his growth on screen so that he wouldn’t be better than him. Kottachi talked about a time when “Thavasi” was being filmed and Vadivelu stood in front of the camera to hide Kottachi’s act. Because of this, Kottachi decided to quit the project. He also says that Vadivelu took away a lot of his chances, while the late Vivek helped him and gave him chances in the movies they worked on together.

Kottachi points out Vivek’s desire to help those around him, while suggesting that Vadivelu was more interested in hindering his co-stars from getting ahead. People are talking about how the film business works and how competitive it is because of these revelations.
