Popular stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra was recently banned by IndiGo Airlines for heckling top journalist Arnab Goswami during a flight journey. The news is that Kamra has slapped a legal notice against IndiGo, demanding that the airlines should apologize to him and also pay him Rs 25 lakh in compensation.
"Your love and support are helping me go legal against IndiGo. To all artists out there, don’t fear. There are enough good people in society to always support the constitution," Kamra today said, addressing his supporters.
As per Kamra, due to the "arbitrary and illegal" imposition of a travel ban on him by IndiGo, he has lost out on several scheduled shows and programmes both in India and abroad. He also stated in his legal notice that IndiGo should revoke the suspension on him immediately.
Three other Airlines also imposed a ban on him after the IndiGo move.
