Actor Jayam Ravi was seen recently on screen in the movie Comali, which was released on Independence day. Comali was the actor's 24th movie, and had him playing a character who wakes up after being in coma for 16 years and the events that happen in his life after that.

Comali had turned out to be a commercial success and the movie is one of the biggest hits in Jayam Ravi's career after Thani Oruvan. Directed by debutant Pradeep Ranganathan, the movie also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Samyuktha Hegde, Yogi Babu and KS Ravikumar and had music by Hip Hop Thamizha.

Now following the success of the movie, Comali's producer Isari Ganesh of Vels Film International has gifted a Honda City car for the young director. On the other end, reports are suggesting that the remake rights of Comali have been sold to Boney Kapoor, and the Hindi version might star Arjun Kapoor.
