Colombo blasts: Indian intelligence agencies warned SL
Send us your feedback to audioarticles@vaarta.com
The Indian intelligence agencies had warned Sri Lanka of suicide bombings in Colombo hours before the dastardly attacks on Easter day. As per the latest reports, a Sri Lankan defence person has been quoted as saying that the Indian agencies tipped off about the blasts just two hours before the tragedy struck the island nation on Sunday.
As per some other reports, the Indian agencies knew about the possible Islamist terror attacks in the first week of April. They sent a message to concerned agencies on April 4 and once again later.
Our agencies averted a huge tragedy in south India. Reports say that the target of the attackers was actually India and not SL. Since "vigilance is very tight" in India, they couldn't strike us.
Kudos to those collecting intelligence and manning us every day!
