Few days back the body of an engineering college student was found with hand and legs tied in a quarry in Keerapakkam, Vandalur. Three persons have been arrested by police in connection to this case. On January 23, parents of Saravanan from Adambakkam had filed a missing complaint, and his body was found recently with injuries all over, in the quarry.

After investigations and a hunt to nab the killers, Deepan Chakravarthy from Adambakkam,Rajesh from Keerapakkam and Parthiban from Padiyanallur have been arrested and it has been found that they had murdered Saravanan and projected as if he was alive.As said by DSP, Saravanan who went missing on January 22, was found dead on January 26, and his phone was found switched off near his body. The same day, an SMS had been sent from his mobile to his friend Dhanraj asking 5000 rupees from him.

However cops found that when the message was sent, the signals were from Pondicherry and was from another mobile, belonging to Hari from Thiruvallur. After enquiring Hari it was found that he had sold his mobile in Moore market which was purchased for 500 rupees by 3 persons. The CCTV visuals obtained from the area had Deepan Chakravarthy, following which he was nabbed and investigated, and he confessed to his crime. Reportedly the three friends and Saravanan had drinks, and during an argument, they fought and the trio killed Saravanan, and to make people that Saravanan was alive, they had sent the SMS.
