The success meet of 'ABCD', which released on Friday, was held on the same night. Allu Sirish and others were present on the occasion. As per the makers, the youth drama grossed Rs 2.25 Cr on Day 1.
Speaking on the occasion, producer Madhura Sridhar Reddy said, "The film has been registering big openings right since the morning shows. We planned this celebration after the evening shows. The story and the father-son duo's relationship in the movie are striking a chord with the audience. Allu Sirish is a fantastic actor. Everybody is saying that he is a new kind of actor. I know how much hard he worked on the flick. I wanted to see the happiness on his face and I am happy today. The love track, the comedy tracks involving Bharath and Vennela Kishore are working big-time. The morning shows registered 68 percent occupancy, which increased to 74 percent by the afternoon. Evening shows got 78 percent."
Director Sanjeev Reddy said, "The audiences are reacting very well to those portions which we thought would work. It's very exciting."
Allu Sirish said, "The film has got my career-best openings. 'Kottha Janta' and 'Srirasthu Subhamasthu' have been trumped by 'ABCD'. I am happy to be growing up as an artist. I could relate to the role. The collections are only going up with every show. I thank Suresh Babu garu for ensuring the right kind of release. I thank the director for presenting me in a new way."
