కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం నుండి పద్మ శ్రీ అవార్డు అందుకున్న మోహన్ బాబుకి అవార్డుతో పాటు కొన్ని అవాంతరాలు కూడా వచ్చాయి. దూసుకెళ్తా చిత్రంలో పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డు గ్రహీత అని కాకుండా పద్మశ్రీ అనే టైటిల్ వేసుకుని అవార్డుని దుర్వినియోగం చేసుకున్నారని కోర్టులో కేసు ఫైల్ అయింది. దాంతో కోర్టు అవార్డుని వెనక్కి ఇచ్చేయమని ఆదేశించింది. అయితే మోహన్ బాబు ఈ అవార్డుని దుర్వినియోగం చేయనని సుప్రీంకోర్టులో అఫిడివిట్ దాఖలు చేశారు. కేసును పరిశీలించిన సుప్రీంకోర్టు, హైకోర్టు ఆదేశాలను కొట్టివేసి ఇకపై పద్మశ్రీ అవార్డుని కొనసాగుతుందని పెర్కొంది. ఎట్టకేలకు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వ అవార్డు విషయంలో మోహన్ బాబుకి ఊరట లభించినట్టే.
