Coimbatore police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly killed his two daughters after an altercation with his wife.

Padmanabhan lived with his wife, Selvarani, and two daughters in the Masakkalipalayam area of Coimbatore. It hasn't been a happy marriage for the couple, and they have had constant feuds over the past few years, reportedly.

A fall-out between the couple on Thursday night led to Selvarani walking out on her husband and her two kids, who refused to accompany her, to her parents’ place in Vellalore. When she returned on Friday morning, she was appalled to find her daughters lying lifeless inside the house.

The police arrived at the spot as soon as the incident was reported, and they discovered that Padmanabhan had been in an inebriated state when his wife left the house on Thursday.

The police have booked him under section 302 even though he is nowhere to be found currently. The bodies of the kids have been sent for post-mortem.
