Chiyaan Vikram's much awaited 'Cobra' is all set to release on August 31st and is expected to take open big as its a five day Vinayaka Chathurthi holiday weekend. The action thriller directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu has the celebrated actor playing a mathematics teacher turned suspected cyber criminal.

The trailer of 'Cobra' has given a clear indication of production design on par with western films and the action is mindblowing. It is now reported that Seven Screen Studios Lalit Kumar has bankrolled the project in excess of rupees hundred crores the highest in Vikram's career.

It is also reported that Vikram who has donned about ten getups in the film has recieved remuneration of rupees twenty five crores. The film has music by A.R. Rahman with Harish Kannan serving as the DOP and John Abraham incharge of the editing. The cast comprises of Chiyaan Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, K.S. Ravikumar, Roshan Mathew, Anandraj, Robo Shankar, Mia George, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindrajan and others.
