An Indian origin man Pallavarajan Jayachandran and his wife were arrested in the Cobb County area of the US for leaving their two small children in their car. It is said that the couple left their kids aged 9 and 3 inside their vehicle to go buy groceries.
Speaking to Michelle Newell of Channel 2, the father said that he did nothing wrong and had shut off the engine because his son felt cold and he asked him to. He also said that his nine year old son was capable of looking after his three year old sister and that he had his wife's phone and would have called them if he felt hot.
The cops arrived to the spot after a staff of the grocery store was shocked when the couple said to them that they were in a hurry having left their children in the car. The woman had run to the car to find that it was really hot and had called the authorities.
It is further said that the police opened all the windows and when they checked after twenty minutes it was still more than 100 degrees. The Jayachandrans have been charged on counts of reckless conduct.
