CM to honour Larencce on I-Day

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will honour Raghava Larencce with an award for social service at the Independence Day celebrations scheduled on 15 August at Fort St George in Chennai.

The award will be presented to the choreographer turned actor turned filmmaker for his service to the society. He is running an orphanage in Chennai, which provides free education and boarding to underprivileged children.

Expressing happiness on being selected for the award, he said, “It is an honour to be honoured by Kalaignar. This gives me more motivation to reach out to the needy.”
