Hours after the Karnataka High Court on Tuesday said that 'Kaala' should be allowed to release in Karnataka amid tight security (if needed), Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy opined that the atmosphere is not good for the film to be screened in his State!
"As head of K'taka govt, I have to implement the direction of High Court, it's my responsibility. But according to my observations as an individual, in this kind of atmosphere it isn't good on the part of producer/distributor to release the movie," HDK told a news agency.
Following the CM's objectionable statement, Rajinikanth has on Wednesday made an appeal to him to provide security at theatres where 'Kaala' will be screened starting from tomorrow. Speaking in Kannada, the Superstar said it is not right for the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to demand a ban on the film.
In an address to the people of Karnakata, Rajini expressed the hope that the film's release will happen smoothly.
