7 new COVID-19 cases in Kerala

The number of COVID-19 cases in Kerala has registered a dip over the past few days. While the state is in slight relief with the fall in the number of active cases, on Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that 7 new coronavirus positive cases were reported and 27 people had recovered from the deadly disease.

Of the seven new confirmed cases, 4 are from Kannur, 2 are from Kozhikode and one from Kasaragod district. Currently, 147 are under treatment at various hospitals, said CM. As of Thursday, 88,855 persons are under observation in the state.

With the fall in the number of COVID-19 cases in the state, it is proved that the Kerala government is taking strict measures such as aggressive testing, early detection, contact tracing and strict home quarantine to combat the deadly disease.
