CM on STP plant at 3 places, Rs.1565 crore project

The Karnataka government is taking up three new Sewage Treatment Plants from the water emanating from Vrushabavathi, KC Canal and Hebbal Lake. The Sewage Treatment Plants at Doddabele would be soon set up to come out with Rs.44 crore worth purified water availability.

Vrushabavathi has capacity to produce 15 crore liters of water and SUEZ has taken the contract, at Koramangala and Challaghatta STP plant produces 15 crores of liters – VA Tech Vabag company gets the tender.

At Hebbal 10 crores liters Enviro Control Associate has been entrusted the task, at Doddabele STP plant has capacity to produce 4 crores of purified water – Triveni Engineering and Industries takes charge of it.

36 months time limit has been fixed for all the contractors.

The purified water would reach the Bengaluru rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapura lakes.
