MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha of the BRS party faced a health setback during a road show on Friday in Raikal Mandal Itikya while campaigning for Jagityal in support of BRS candidate Sanjay Kumar. While standing on the campaign vehicle, Kavitha suddenly fainted, prompting immediate assistance from BRS women workers. Dr. Chandrasekhar Goud, the chairman of the library, provided preliminary treatment, and although Kavitha recovered after a while, it was revealed that she had experienced a minor ailment due to dehydration.
Despite the setback, Kavitha demonstrated her resilience by swiftly returning to the campaign trail, opting to continue her program instead of taking a rest. Many lauded her brave and determined attitude, acknowledging that, given BRS's stronghold in all constituencies, she could have chosen to rest. Kavitha's commitment to campaigning despite health challenges is attributed to her desire to bolster her party's election prospects.
Kavitha, known for her charismatic and energetic approach, has been aggressively campaigning for BRS, aiming to secure a third consecutive term for her father, KCR, and make history. Notably, achieving a hat-trick of Chief Ministerial terms is a rare feat, and Kavitha is vying to join an exclusive list that includes political legends like NTR, MGR, Karunanidhi, Jayalalithaa, Annadurai, SM Krishna, and Bommai.
With the Telangana polls scheduled for November 30, the political landscape is heating up, with all parties intensifying their campaigns. BRS, led by CM KCR, along with stalwarts KTR, Harish Rao, and Kavitha, is facing formidable competition from BJP, led by Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay, and Etela Rajender, and Congress, spearheaded by Reventh Reddy, among others.
Confident in his party's victory, CM KCR highlights the developmental programs undertaken during his tenure. On the other hand, Congress and BJP accuse BRS of financial mismanagement and diverting funds in the name of projects, neglecting essential developmental activities. The political landscape in Telangana is set for an intense battle as election day approaches.
