CM KCR’s BRS manifesto is full of boons

The Telangana Assembly is gearing up for elections on November 30, 2023, and political parties are wasting no time in announcing their candidates and revealing their manifestos. In the midst of this whirlwind of activity, Telangana Chief Minister KCR, known for his innovative and surprising strategies, has once again left his opponents in awe by unveiling the BRS party’s manifesto.

Speculation had been rife about CM KCR’s health as he had not been seen in public for a few days. However, he put those rumors to rest today when he made the exciting announcement at the party headquarters, Pragati Bhavan. The BRS manifesto is a treasure trove of promises aimed at benefiting all sections of society.

The BRS party had already taken a head start by releasing a list of 115 candidates out of the total 119 assembly seats back in August, giving them an advantage over their opposition counterparts in the BJP and Congress. CM KCR will commence the party’s campaign with a massive rally in Husnabad, a location that proved to be lucky for the party during the last assembly elections in 2018, where they started their campaign and ultimately achieved remarkable success.

Following the Husnabad rally, the BRS party chief, who is seeking another five-year term in government, will address a total of 41 public rallies until November 9, according to his tentative tour program.

Here’s a glimpse of the promises made in the BRS manifesto:

‘Soubhagyalakshmi’ scheme: Providing 3,000 per month to all eligible underprivileged women.

Gas cylinders for 400 to all eligible BPL families.

‘Aasara Pensions’ to be increased to 5,000 with yearly increments of 500. ‘KCR Aarogya Raksha Scheme’: Expanding “ArogyaSri Bhima Scheme’ coverage to 15 lakh beneficiaries.

“Rythu Bandhu” scheme: Increasing support by 16,000 per acre annually with an initial hike of 11,000. ‘KCR Bhima Prathi Intiki Dheema’: Offering a 5 lakh insurance scheme for all BPL cardholders with the government covering 100% of the premium.

Building 1 lakh 2BHK houses in Hyderabad under the ‘Gruha Lakshmi’ scheme. Establishing 119 residential schools for economically disadvantaged students. Converting minority junior colleges into residential colleges.

Providing dedicated buildings for Mahila Swashakti Groups. Implementing the orphan policy of the Telangana government, recognizing orphans as State Children. Removing restrictions on assigned lands. Studying the transition from CPS to OPS pensions for government employees through the formation of a committee of senior officials. Implementing the Telangana Annapurna Scheme’ to provide rice (Sanna Biyyam) to all ration card holders.
