Cloudburst in Chennai - Entire city to have blinding rains

The Northeast Monsoon has set in as predicted and today (30/10/2017) has witnessed very heavy rains in most parts of Chennai and coastal Tamil Nadu and also the interior. Tamil Nadu Weatherman Pradeep John has stated that a cloudburst has occured in Old Mahabalipuram Road.
According to Pradeep John, Cloudburst in OMR and southern suburbs of Chennai city, the downpour was so intense that 100 mm was recorded in just 45 mins in Perumbakkam near OMR in a private weather station. Its now time for central and north Chennai to be smashed with very high intense rains or should i say blinding rains. There is huge traffic jams every where. Please dont rush home and get caught in the chaos.
