Mammootty yesterday had a miraculous escape during shooting of an action scene of Big B when a flying metal piece from an exploding car missed him by inches.

Mammootty escaped as he managed to duck at the last moment as a flying piece of the car that was blown up by a petrol bomb flew precariously in his direction.

“A portion of the exploding car flew inches away from my face. God is great. After the incident we saw it replayed on the video and only then we knew the gravity of the situation. It was a narrow escape,” said Mammootty.

This is the second time in the last few months that Mammootty has had a close shave.

In November last year, while driving towards Idukki for the shooting of Palunku his luxury car collided with a bus and was smashed, but he had a lucky escape.
