Close shave for M S Baskar

Comedian-character artiste M S Baskar had a ‘miraculous escape’ with minor injuries when a car in which he was traveling met with an accident near Pollachi on Thursday night.

The mishap took place when the actor, along with his assistant and another actor, was traveling from the sets of a film directed by ‘Madraspattinam’ fame Vijay to the shooting spot of Vijay-starrer ‘Velayudham’.

“When the car was nearing Pollachi, another car collided with it. Smelling something serious, villages nearby rushed to the spot and rescued Baskar and others. There were no big injuries to anyone,” sources said.

Says Baskar, “It was only due to God’s grace we escaped. Also, the mishap taught us a lesson to be more careful while on road. I am so happy that all of us are safe. My thanks to those who had helped us.”
