In Vedachandur, Trichy a 12th standard student has been arrested by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor girl and later electrocuting and Killing her brutally. The 13 years old girl had been studying seventh standard.

Reportedly the girl was in her home as it was summer holidays, and on April 15, when her parents went for work, the girl was alone in home. When they returned home evening they were shocked to see her dead with a current wire in her hand. After suspecting her death to be a murder, police from Vadamadurai took the girl's body for postmortem.

After the postmortem results arrived it was found that the girl was sexually abused and was electrocuted with the wire and brutally killed. Following this her parents protested to find the killer and punish him and cops have now arrested a class 12 student of committing the crime and he's been jailed in Madurai central prison under Pocso act.
