A 16-year-old student from Telangana reportedly breathed his last today in the examination hall where he appeared for his class 12 board exam.

The deceased, identified as Gopi Raju, was a resident of Telangana. He was taking the exam at the center in Secunderabad’s Sri Chaitanya College before he collapsed on his desk. He was rushed to a nearby hospital soon after but was unfortunately declared dead upon arrival. The teenager reportedly complained of chest pain before he entered the examination hall.

Gopi Raju’s body has been sent for post mortem, while the real cause of his death is yet to be ascertained. Officials suggest that the reason could have likely been a cardiac arrest.
