Kollywood actors Trisha Krishnan and Simbu are the talk of the town due to their wedding rumours. While fans celebrated the news as they loved their onscreen chemistry in Gautham Menon's hit movie 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa', the latest is that the reports are false as sources close to the actors have denied it and called it 'baseless rumour.'
Simbu and Trisha are good friends. In 2017, talking about her friendship with Simbu, Trisha had quoted, "I've known Simbu for seven years. He's not my type; not a person I'd fall in love with. He is a great friend, and I believe that one can't fall in love with a good friend."
Simbu and Trisha recently starred in Gautham Menon's short film, Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn, which was filmed during the nationwide lockdown and released on the night of May 20 on YouTube. The 12-minute long short film portrayed the life of Karthik (Simbu) and Jessie (Trisha) years after their separation in the director's blockbuster movie, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
Trisha was earlier dating Rana Daggubati, but parted ways and got engaged to industrialist Varun Manian in 2015. The marriage was cancelled due to some reason. It is rumoured that she ended things with him because he wanted her to give up her career after marriage.
Simbu had dated his 'Vallavan' co-star Nayanthara and actress Hansika Motwani in the past and recent rumours suggested that he was getting married to a London-based girl, but the claims were rubbished by Simbu's father, T. Rajendar.
