Vijay Sethupathi is currently busy shooting for 'Karuppan' directed by Panneerselvam of 'Renigunta' fame. Lakhsmi Menon plays the female lead in this film touted to be a rural action entertainer. Veteran cinematographer Ramji has been signed up for the film.

However now cinematographer Shakthi is handling the cinematography for 'Karuppan'. When we enquired with our sources, they said that Sakthi is doing clash work for the film as Ramji is presently busy with the shooting of Sivakarthikeyan starrer 'Velaikkaran' In other words, Sakthi doing handling the camera work for 'Karuppan' seems to be a temporary arrangement

It is worth recalling that Shakthi made his debut as a cinematographer along with director Panneerselvam in ''Renigunta' which was critically acclaimed and successful in the box office
