Director Venkat Prabu announced about his seventh directorial flick and he did it in style. It will be the sequel of his debut film 'Chennai 600028' and the way the director announced it with a brilliant motion picture has stepped up the expectations to an all new high.

As it was evident in the motion poster the film will have the musical score of Yuvan Shankar Raja and Praveen KL who edited the motion poster will work as the Editor of the film. Most of the other technical crew members who worked in the 2007 blockbuster will be retained in the sequel except for one important change.

Sources close to the director confirmed that Rajesh Yadav will be the cinematographer of the sequel titled as 'Chennai 600028 II Innings'. Rajesh handled the camera for 'Unnai Charanadaindhen' which had Venkat Prabhu as the lead actor and he was the initial choice to handle the lens for VP's debut directorial. However he was replaced by Sakthi Saravanan who worked with Venkat Prabhu in all the films he has directed so far, except 'Massu Engira Masilamani'.

Rajesh Yadav has worked in a few other critically acclaimed Tamil films 'Lee' and director Cheran's 'Pokkisham'.

Most of the actors who played the lead roles in the first part will be retained in the sequel with a few more new additions. Vaibhav who made his acting debut with Venkat Prabhu's second film 'Saroja' is likely to be a part of this much expected sequel. The film will apparently deal with the life of its lead actors in early thirties and most of the characters would be settled down in married life.

The shooting of the film which is going to be produced by Venkat Prabhu under his Black Ticket Company banner will begin soon in Chennai soon.
