Ace cinematographer P.C.Sreeram has been elected as the President of South Indian Film Cinematographers Association in the elections held in January this year.
Today the new President met the Police Commissioner in Chennai and filed a complaint against former President FEFSI Siva.
It is said that Siva conducted a Star night in Malaysia on behalf of the Cinematographers Body in 2015 for which many crores from the funds of the association were spent. He has failed to account the money spent on this lavish event and did not properly respond to repeated queries. So the General Body resolved to remove Siva's basic membership from the association.
The elections were conducted after eight years. The new office-bearers allege that for the last eight years, books of accounts showing the incomes and expenses were not maintained at all. Hence the Police complaint has been registered against Siva.
Noted cinematographers Velraj and Sukumar accompanied PC to the Commissioner office.
