Yash is one of the most successful south Indian stars. In Sandalwood, he is known for dreaming big. Like only a few, he comes with no filmy background. Born to humble parents, he ran away from his hometown to Bengaluru many years ago, tried his hand at modelling, and did television before becoming a film hero.
"Right after Class X, I told my parents that I want to become an actor. They asked me to be academically well-qualified first. I did Intermediate but after that, I ran away to the city. I always enjoyed the attention that fancy dress competitions would give. As an actor for many years, I have always tried to give my best," Yash, who will be seen in the multi-lingual 'KGF', says.
The 'KGF' trailer, which released recently, clocked 12 million views in 24 hours across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It has got praises from several industry personalities. "A period film set partly in Kolar Gold Fields, 'KGF' was sought to be made only in Kannada. Halfway through, we decided to make it in the other languages," Yash reveals, saying that budget was never a constraint as quality took precedence. The film will hit the screens on December 21.
Saying that Ram Charan is his favourite Telugu actor, Yash comments that he will definitely do a straight Telugu movie if something exciting comes to him.
Yash has been into constructive and social activities. By setting up a foundation, he has reached out to 250 Karnataka villages which were facing drought situation.
