Amidst the pandemic, OTT platforms have emerged as an entertainment medium parallel to the mainstream cinema. Many filmstars have appeared in OTT projects now to adapt to this new dynamic and they have often shared their views about this new system as well. Veteran actor Sanjay Dutt whose last three films have had OTT release, recently talked about the coexistence of digital platforms with cinema.
He told a news outlet, “The big screen has its own charm and it allows audiences to enjoy a film in its full spectrum and glory. But there’s no denying how cinema is evolving and with the boom of the OTT platform, audiences in every corner now have access to so much content that caters to every need. So both these in my opinion are equally important and can beautifully co-exist.”
Maintaining the diplomatic tone of his answer, Sanju Baba said that although he misses being on big screen, he's grateful to OTT platforms for keeping actors and filmmakers in business.
On the work front, Sanjay is awaiting the release of his film 'KGF: Chapter 2'. He also has films like 'Toolsidas Junior' and 'Shamshera' in production.
