Three persons including an alleged cinema group dancer has been arrested in Chennai for kidnapping and raping a minor school girl. According to police sources a 14-year-old schoolgirl from Arumbakkam in Chennai got acquainted with Jayasuriya from the same area. Jayasuriya introduced himself as a group dancer in the film industry and convinced her that he is love with her. He had then under the guise of love taken the child and rented a room in a private hotel and made her stay with him and had raped her.

Meanwhile, the Arumbakkam police were searching for the girl after her mother lodged a missing person complaint. In this situation, secret information was received that young males are making it a habit of bringing females to the said hotel regularly and staying there.

Following the tip off the cops raided the hotel and found the girl there and rescued her. They arrested Jayasurya and two others who helped him and booked all three under POCSO ( Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
