Growing pretty fast in five months of existence the first Kannadiga owned private satellite channel 'Kasthuri' is giving away the Kannada film awards for 2007 on March 2 at Bangalore Palace in a grand style. This is called as 'Cinegandha-2007' film awards in association with Airtel and Pyramid Saimira group.

In a short span of time we have been able to come out with film awards and we need the cooperation of the people of Karnataka said the humble lady heading the Kasthuri channel Smt.Anitha Kumaraswamy wife of former chief minister of Karnataka.

In all 28 categories the kannada film awards will be given away. The highlight of the awards evening is that there will be Sapthaswara award for seven music directors. Snehajeevi awards to Dr.Vishnu, Ambarish, Srinath and Ravichandran will be conferred on this occasion. Trinetra award goes to Shivarajkumar, Raghavendra Rajakumar and Puneeth Rajakumar.

The awards committee comprises of actor Srinath, journalist PG Srinivasamurthy, Secretary KFCC Thomas D'souza, censor board panel member Shivaram Christa and Dr.Girija Mahesh.

This is purely people award for the best categories. In three parameters the awards will be finalized says Principal consultant of Kasthuri Medias Private Limited Ajay Kumar Ramanuja.
