CII good task, organ donation importance

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Bengaluru branch is focused on the importance of organ donation in the society at Bengaluru Press Club on Saturday.

Young Indians chief Dr Kaushik Murali speaking on this occasion in 1954 the first organ transplant took place in the field of medicine. After so many years there is no awareness among the people in the society. For the lack of organs nearly 5 lakh people die every year he stated.

In the Western Countries for every 10 lakh 30 donors are found. In India for every 10 lakh we find 0.8 donors. One person organs could save eight people he observed

The doctors from Shanker Eye Hospital, Columbia Asia, Appolo, Sacra, Manipal hospital took part I the meeting.

As a part of awareness on organ donation L Vijay of Spreading Hope Organisation has come up with 9000 kilometers travel from Chennai to Ladak.

Vijay is undertaking this travel from August 15. Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Udayapura, Jaipura, Ludhiana, Srinagar and Ladak is his route. On return journey he will cover New Delhi, Agra, Napur, Hyderabad and reach Bengaluru on September 21.

Vijay suffered kidney problem in 2013 and in 2016 kidney transplant took place for him. From then on he is on an awareness of organ transplantation.

Vijay intention is to bring awareness of organ transplant for at least in the mind of 10 lakh people in this country.
