Disha Choudhary, who has been absconding for two years, was yesterday arrested by the CID police from a small house in Mumbai where she was living with her two children. The arrest was made in connection with the multicrore Dreamz-GK Infra Pvt Ltd real estate scam in which thousands of Bengaluru residents were cheated to the tune of Rs 375 Cr. The accused collected lakhs of rupees from each customer for luxury flats, but never delivered them.

Disha, who has acted in the Bollywood film 'Anuradha', is the ex-wife of the kingpin Sachin Naik. Naik had stated during an interrogation that he had given Rs 25 Cr of the fraudulent money to Disha, and spent another Rs 10 Cr on producing a movie with her.

In 2017, both were arrested and got bail after two weeks. But Disha, taking her children with her, absconded and reportedly lived in many cities around the world before settling in Mumbai.

Used to a lavish lifestyle, she was found in a very small house where she was hiding from the authorities, says a TOI report.
