'Thala' Ajith's 55th film directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is progressing at a rapid pace and the casting coup is getting bigger and bigger in every passing day. Anushka who will be pairing up for the first time with Ajith, joined the shooting yesterday in Chennai.

Meanwhile Gautham has opened up about the film in an interview. He has said that Ajith’s character in this film will be liked by all especially girls and it has equal scope for action, romance and emotions. He has also said that Anushka will have a equally strong role as he has always allocated half of the canvas to his heroines. The Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya director has revealed that a particular dialogue in which Anushka will be describing about AJith in the film, will have a great impact with the audience.

Gautham has also revealed a punch dialogue that Ajith will utter in the film. “naalu naalla Oorey Christmas kondaadum. Aanaa enakku mattum annikku Deepavalida! (The lose translation of this dialogue goes like this: Four days from now, the whole city will be celebrating Christmas. For me, that will be the Deepavali) Gautham has assured that the film will have so many punches like this that will make the fans to go frenzy.
