Hollywood heartthrob Chris Evans first donned the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America in the 2011 movie 'Captain America: The First Avenger'. He has since starred as the much-loved superhero in five films including cameos.
In the 2019 'Avengers: Endgame' the biggest grossing film in history an aged version of Steve Rogers played by Chris Evans is seen handing over his shield to Falcom played by Anthony Mackie. The scene hinted that its the end of the road for the actor in the most famous character in his career.
Evans also in a later interview made it clear that he was not interested anymore to return "It was a great run and we went out on such a high note that it would be risky to revisit it in my opinion. It was such a good experience and I think it’s better left that way,” he said at the time. “It’s not a hard no, but it’s not an eager yes either. I think Cap had such a tricky act to stick the landing, and I think they did a really nice job letting him complete his journey.”
A new report from a frontline Hollywood media suggested that Chris Evans is in talks to return as Captain American in a new Marvel movie. The busy star wrote on Twitter "News to me" with a shrugging emoji and has all but denied the report.
Fans of Chris Evans can catch him later this year in the Netflix disaster movie 'Dont Look Up directed by Adam Mackay and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Matthew Perry, Tyler Perry, Kid Cudi, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Tomer Sisley, Ron Perlman, Melanie Lynskey and Rob Morgan.
