Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga Review
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga : Doesn't Make You Walk Away From Your Seat!
Writer Shiraz Ahmed and Amar Kaushik, took a diamond heist as a main plot and laced it with multiple subplots, making it a complex story which is narrated superbly. Helmed by Ajay Singh, the film is a lot more than just a diamond heist thriller, it is a love story and a revenge drama as well.
The movie belongs to talented and beautiful Yami Gautam, who will cry, smile and smirk with satisfaction in the end. Sunny Kaushal, is controlled and menacing, he plays a character we all know is a fake from the get go, but final revelation is still worth it. Sharad Kelkar, who plays the role of RAW officer, delivers a towering and commanding performance.
The film begins with Sunny Kasuhal as Ankit, a rich businessman finding love in air hostess Neha played by Yami Gautam. With little wooing and interaction, Ankit wins Neha’s heart, and soon the duo starts living together, and one fine day, Neha announces that she is pregnant. Ankit proposes and they plan their future ahead.
This is where the movie takes a turn, Ankit has a shady past which quickly catches up with him, he owes money to diamond smugglers and they are relentless in their pursuit of their money, or diamond back. During a doctor’s visit, goons attack Neha and Ankit, which results in Neha losing her baby. Fearing for their lives, Neha and Ankit agree to pay the goons back, and plan to steal a diamond consignment, heading to India from middle-east, the consignment belongs to the home-minister of India.
Neha and Ankit, make the plan but it goes kaput when the plane is hijacked by a radical terrorist group. Amidst of hijack, Ankit manages to switch the real diamonds with fake one, but he is caught by terrorist, who plants a bomb on him and during this tussle, an air-officer (Indraneil Sengupta) onboard manages to kill all the terrorists, even before landing.
On the ground, Raw officer Shaikh (Sharad) is appointed to handle the situation, and once the plane lands, everyone rushes to the terminal. Shaikh commands his troops to defuse the bomb and retrieve the bodies of dead terrorists. Turns out that the bomb is fake, there are no bodies of dead terrorists, the officer who shot the terrorist is missing, there was no hijack, plus all the diamonds are missing as well.
With diamonds missing, Ankit shows his true colours, which leaves Neha shocked and heart-broken, but is she really shocked or surprised? This is where the movie takes a turn which will leave everyone stunned. There is an old saying, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and this one smart, hurt, and has a violent past. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga is a well-crafted and executed revenge thriller, a must watch!
Verdict: You'll enjoy and not "bhaaga-fy" from your screens!
