Aamir Khan’s tendency to get critical and suggest script and scene changes while shooting for a movie is well known. But in a bid to do things differently, the actor told Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the producer and Rajkumar Hirani, the director, of '3 Idiots' that he wouldn’t interfere with the script for their film. They even went ahead and signed a pact with the star that he wouldn’t interfere in their production. All was well and Aamir kept his opinions and ideas to himself during the shoot.

Now, reports say that Chopra and Hirani came across a scene which they thought could be shot differently than what was suggested in the script. They promptly gave Aamir the changed script only to have the actor remind them of their agreement. The smug actor added that if they wanted to change the script, then he too wanted to add his own suggestions. That was enough to get Chopra and Hirani to back track on their suggestions.
