The remake rights of the latest super hit in Malayalam 'Chocolate' was sold at astronomical rates, the highest that any film has fetched in the past. The remake rights of the film was bought by Mirchy movies, which is spending one crore rupees for the deal.

Probably for the first time in the history of Malayalam cinema, the remake rights of a film is being sold at such a rate, as normally the remake rights are sold at half the rates than this. The film which was completed in 2.5 crores will cover half of its production costs from this alone.

The Mirchy Company has made the deal in the condition that they will be able to remake the film in any Indian languages without further hassles and payment. The film which tells the story of a youth who is forced to study in a women’s college has brought in plenty of related comic sequences and narrated a few love relations in the campus.

The film which has already collected over 12 crores is completing hundred days in Kerala by the next week.
