'Thangalaan' is one of the upcoming ambitious projects from Tamil cinema starring Chiyaan Vikram and helmed by the acclaimed maker Pa Ranjith. The film's shooting was halted earlier as Chiyaan Vikram suffered an injury while rehearsing. Now, the hot news is that the makers have resumed filming.

Pa Ranjith earlier this month confirmed that Thangalaan shoot will resume after June 15 and only 12 days of filming are remaining. The latest reports suggest that the Thangalaan shooting resumed in Chennai today. Chiyaan Vikram is completely fine now and he will complete the entire movie this time. Also, Malavika Mohanan joins him in the ongoing schedule.

The actress took to her Instagram stories and revealed that she is in Chennai. She added that she will be in the city for 20 days. The story of Thangalaan is about the natives of Kolar Gold Fields and their battle against authority. The film stars Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathi, Daniel Caltigarone, Harikrishnan and others.

Thangalaan shooting is most likely to be wrapped up with this schedule and the movie will move to the post-production work. The film will debut at prestigious film festivals across the world before a wide theatrical release. Produced by Studio Green and Neelam Productions, the magnum opus flick will have a festival date release in early 2024.
