If on one hand Ajith and Vijay are seen as arch rivals in Tamil cinema on the other hand there is a similar perception about Suriya and Vikram who also enjoy huge fan following. The duo starred together in the cult classic 'Pitha Magan' directed by Bala and both received high critical acclaim. Over the years there have been rumours about their fierce rivalry and some reports even claimed that they are not on talking terms.
However Suriya and Vikram share a great rapport and the former even graciously agreed to feature in the latter's music video 'Spirit of Chennai' without getting any remuneration. Fans are now celebrating one more event that proves the bonding between the two top stars.
Recently Chiyaan Vikram's fiery speech at the 'Ponniyinn Selvan' press meet in Mumbai about the glory of ancient Tamils and their kings went viral on the internet. Popular Malayalam director Anjali Menon of 'Bangalore Days' fame had written about it "Heartening to hear @chiyaan Vikram articulate his perspective about the history that inspires #PonniyinSelvan and its team! ????Sure we’re booking our tickets ?? but also nodding when he says it’s not about North or South or East or West - we are Indians and should be proud of it!"
