The anticipation for the Chiyaan Vikram- Pa. Ranjith combo's much awaited epic 'Thangalaan' has skyrocketed multifold after the release of the teaser a couple of days ago. The riveting clip showed the multiple award winning actor playing the character of the leader of a Tamil clan in the Kolar region during the British rule.
Fans were especially floored by the stunning look and body language of Vikram and the shot showing him of casually tearing apart a venomous snake has become the talk of the town. Meanwhile rumours arose on social media that Vikram will not have any dialogues in 'Thangalaan' much like the role he played in Bala's 'Pitha Magan' that won him a National Award for Best Actor.
However Vikram's spokesperson has clarified that the rumour was sparked due to the superstar replying to a reporter's question that he has no dialogues in the teaser. This was misconstrued and reported as the protagonist not having any dialogues in the film itself. Now we can rest assured that we will not only get to watch the power packed expressions of Chiyaan but his unique dialogue delivery in chaste Tamil of the period.
'Thangalaan' is produced on a grand scale by Studio Green K.E. Gnanavelraja with G. V. Prakash Kumar scoring the music. The principle cast members include Chiyaan Vikram, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Malavika Mohanan, Pasupathy and popular British actor Daniel Caltagirone. The historical epic is slated for release globally on January 26th, 2024.
