The much loved Chiyaan Vikram's fans were shell shocked after news broke out that the star actor hospitalized earlier today. Rumours started floating that he is in intensive care after suffering a heart attack. His manager later cleared the air that it was a mild chest discomfort and he is stable.

The Kauvery Hospital in Chennai where Vikram is being treated confirmed that it is not a heart attack and it is a chest discomfort indeed and he will be discharged after a day. Actor Dhruv Vikram the son of the celebrated actor took to social media to give further comforting news to the Chiyaan fans.

Meanwhile Vikram fans are on cloud nine after seeing a glimpse of him as Aditya Karikalan in the teaser of Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan' released this evening. The epic multistarrer with music score by A.R. Rahman also stars Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha among other top stars.
