The entire state of Kerala has been suffering from the most unprecedented deluge and incessant rain. More than 300 people have died so far and thousands are stranded in relief camps. Donations in the form of cash and also relief materials have been pouring from the other parts of the country and also some abroad locations. Film industry celebrities are also donating generously to this humanitarian cause. 

Many Kollywood stars such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya, Karthi, Vijay Sethupathi, Sivakarthikeyan have donated money. Now the latest to join the list is actor Chiyaan Vikram. The 'Saamy' actor has contributed Rs.35,00,000/-.(Rs.Thirty five lakhs) He has sent it in the form of a Cheque to the Chief Minister of Kerala. Here is the letter of Vikram addressed to the CM

It must be noted that Vikram was a popular actor in Malayalam cinema before he made it big in Kollywood with 'Sethu'.
