Chiyaan Vikram fans have been eagerly awaiting news about his upcoming biggie 'Cobra' which has him playing multiple roles. A major portion of the film was shot in Russia but the team had to stop midway due to the coronavirus pandemic. For several months the shoot could not be resumed for logistical reasons.

After a long time director Ajay Gnanamuthu has himself shared a photo of a green mat set up in a Studio in Chennai and has written on it "Finally...Final schedule". Our sources have stated that it has been decided to shoot the remaining Russian portions in Chennai itself with the help of computer graphics and finish all the work before the year end.

Going by the teaser of released earlier Chiyaan Vikram plays a mathematician on a quest to track down a cyber villain who has targetted the world. The film contains extensive high tech gadgetry and has the look of a next gen thriller.

'Cobra' has music by A.R. Rahman and is produced by Seven Screen Studios. The ensemble cast comprises of Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Miya, Irfan Pathan, K. S. Ravikumar, Roshan Mathew, Mohammad Ali Baig, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Kanika,
Sarjano Khalid, Mirnalini Ravi, Mamukkoya, Anandaraj, Renuka, Sindhu Shyam, Robo Shankar and Poovaiyar. The release is expected to be in Summer 2022.
