It is already known that the shooting of Chiyaan Vikram starrer 'Cobra' was wrapped up a few days ago. It is notable that the action thriller was stuck in production for almost 3 years. Recently, the Cobra director's tweet courted controversy among the media circle and now the filmmaker has put a full stop to the issue.

R Ajay Gnanamuthu of Demonte Colony and Imaikka Nodigal fame has helmed Cobra, bankrolled by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio. The long-delayed movie's production works were prolonged due to the COVID pandemic and various other reasons, which ultimately cost the producer much higher than the estimated budget.

Ajay Gnanumuthu has thanked Chiyaan Vikram and the team in his tweet regarding shoot completion but didn't mention the producer specifically. Producer T Siva of Amma Creations criticised Ajay for leaving the producer name and mentioned the budget issues. Ajay clarified that he is not the reason for the increase in budget and added that he respects his producer.

Now, the latest is that the Cobra team have apparently celebrated the completion of the film with a party along with the producer, Lalit Kumar. This time around, sharing pictures from the wrap-up party, director Ajay Gnanamuthu thanked the producer of the film and posted, "Wrap up party #Cobra !! So much travel, so many struggles but you all stood together like rock-solid pillars!! and “Thanks” will be a small word to express our gratitude and love v hav for you Lalit sir for d trust u had on this young team and trusted us to go the extra mile!! ❤️ (sic)."

Meanwhile, Chiyaan Vikram will be seen in multiple getups in 'Cobra' that also stars Srinidhi Shetty, Miya George, cricketer Irfan Pathan and KS Ravikumar. This movie marks the Tamil debut of Srinidhi Shetty and the acting debut of Irfan Pathan. The music and original score are composed by Isai Puyal AR Rahman with cinematography handled by Harish Kannan.
